Guest Rules & Weekend Considerations 🤓

We want everyone to relax, enjoy the craic (Irish for a fun time!), and have an amazing time! To ensure the weekend runs smoothly for all our guests, especially those travelling from afar, here are a few simple guidelines.

Our Children Policy

We love all the children in our lives! If your invitation included your children, we can't wait to see them and celebrate the weekend with them. We kindly ask that you still let us know which little ones will be attending when you RSVP so we can plan seating and catering accordingly.

Photography & Sharing Memories

We are delighted to have the extremely talented photographer, Claire Wilson (www.gingerpixel.ie), capturing our day.

During the Ceremony: We kindly request that you keep your phones and cameras put away during the wedding ceremony. We want to see your lovely faces, not the backs of your devices!

During the Reception: Once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take as many photos as you like! After the wedding, we will create and share a single link where everyone can upload all their photos and videos. This way, we all have one central place to see and relive every moment together

Language & Welcome

Our guest list is a beautiful representation of our lives, encompassing 12 different nationalities and 15 different spoken languages!

We celebrate this incredible international mix and want to ensure everyone feels included and welcome throughout

the weekend.

While English and German will be the main shared languages, we encourage everyone to embrace the diverse atmosphere!

Speeches (Reden): All prepared speeches will be delivered primarily in English. However, to ensure all our German-speaking guests can follow along comfortably, we will have printed German translations of all prepared speeches available to hand out before the dinner and toasts.

Need a Translation? Please do not hesitate to ask us or any of the wedding party if you need help translating a toast, a conversation, or even a tricky phrase from the Céilí !

Drinking Policy

You absolutely won't need to worry about drinks! Ballybeg House has a wonderful, fully-stocked pub right on site with an excellent selection of drinks—including fantastic, perfectly poured Guinness on tap—all at very reasonable prices for the area.

If you wish to bring your own personal supply of drinks for consumption in your accommodation rooms, you are free to do so. However, we kindly ask that you keep these drinks discreet and under wraps.

The venue has a surcharge for any alcohol brought onto the premises for communal areas, which we would ideally like to avoid paying. Your cooperation helps keep the weekend budget focused on the fun!
